On May 5, 2015, the Bilingual Program and the Center for Research and Development in Dual Language and Literacy Acquisition (CRDLLA) held a Cinco de Mayo celebration for the faculty and staff in the Department of Educational Psychology and for the Bryan/College Station community.
The master of ceremonies was Dr.Jose Antonio Caraballo.
And as always the Bilingual Education Student Organization (BESO) was an integral part in realizing this event.
Agustín Lara brought his Ballet Folklorico team, comprised of students from Bryan Independent School District (BISD) and College Station Independent School District (CSISD). These students were the highlight of the event. Here are a few pictures from that memorable day.
We had over 150 people in attendance. The event was a great success. And we look forward to continuing this tradition, of coming together with students, the community, and faculties and staff to commemorate Latino/Hispanic traditions.
