Organized by first-generation students at Blinn College and Texas A&M College of Education and Human Development (Bilingual Programs), this event will provide Blinn students the right information for an easier transition into Texas A&M University. The first half of the event will be an open house featuring key organizations and offices from both institutions, including the Texas A&M Office of Admissions and Financial Aid. The second half of the event will feature two panels. The first panel will be a student panel. The students will provide a discussion and answer questions about challenges and successes in transferring to A&M and student life as an Aggie. The second panel is comprised of university staff (from admissions, financial aid, CEHD advising, Byrne’s Center for academic success) who will be available to answer questions about transferring into and succeeding at Texas A&M.
This is open to Blinn students, high school students, parents, and all interested individuals. Dinner and give-aways will be provided.
