Byrne Student Success Center: Helping You Succeed!

This is a guest post from our friend Dr. Shailen Singh, Director of the Byrne Student Success Center at Texas A&M – College of Education and Human Development.

Howdy! My name is Dr. Shailen Singh and I run the Byrne Student Success Center in the College of Education and Human Development. The purpose of the center is simple: our goal is to make sure that you have the tools and resources you need to be academically, personally, and professionally successful.

To that end we provide services including individualized academic counseling, referrals to campus resources, free tutoring, and information about time management and study skills. Whatever you need—it’s our goal to get it to you.

The key thing here is that success means different things to different people. So if you are at a 1.8 and trying to get to a 2.2, we can get you there. If you are at a 3.4 trying to get to a 3.8, we can get you there too. If your grades are fantastic and you’re just looking for other involvement opportunities…we can help you with that as well. Our job is to make sure that you have a productive and satisfying experience within the College of Education.

To make an appointment feel free to shoot me an email at shailensingh@tamu.edu or give me a call at 979.862.8489. Don’t hesitate to call if you need anything at all!
